First of all thanks for the help, I am going crazy.
Awhile back I bought a new 16 meg action replay card. Took me a bit to force the drives to work, but it does work. I can transfer files from with in the AR window, but I am not able to transfer files from PC to PC database to transfer to memory card.
I am at a loss, does anyone have an idea. Is it vista or AR? I tried both the AR versions 1.40 and 1.42 and its the same. Do I need and old version and if so, anyone have a clue on were to look? I tried both Zipped files and Rar files.
I have looked every where on the web for someone else who was having the same problem. Help Help please Help.
Hi
Forget AR, try installing the stuff to your memory card via xplorer360 _________________

Looks like a nice program, but I am getting an error or I don't know how the program works. Anyway, I get the "could not find a FATX drive to open!" Now I am not sure if its my PC (vista) the USB device or what but I am starting to get annoyed. Any direction or help would greatly be appreciated. There is nothing on the web that I found that will address my issue.
Thank You in Advanced.

You might want to look at your device manager and make sure the usb drivers are set to read the 360 format, or you can try Modio, i use modio for 360 saves and have read that it works for xbox 1.

Thanks but I am working on a XBOX, not 360. Someone recommended using xplorer360 because it does both the xbox and 360.. Does modio work on xbox. I fought to get the drives force to my usb device. IF I use AR I can transfere things from within the program, but I can drop from out side the program. I even tried to put the file in with the save files with the folder for AR/Saves and the program doesn't read it. The AR works but doesn't, any ideas. Could it be the file name? Vista? New and improved AR? Help
If you put your memory card into your xbox then let the xbox format it, then connect it to your PC, can xplorer360 then see the card ? _________________

You know I believe I tried that last night. The thing is when I got to the Mem card within the XBOX dashboard, it only have me a Delete and rename/personalize/edit button where I can name my Mem card. I seen no format button. So at that point I select the card and hit delete, thinking that maybe the xbox would delete/format. Then I tried the mem card on the PC with both the Xplorer360 and AR software. I got the same thing. So either I didn't format the card, Vista is making it difficult, or the AR device is not allowing it? If I didn't format the card correctly please let me know how, so I can give that a try. This is holding me down from trying this softmod out. I have a extra Xbox and I think it would be fun to have with XBMC on it.
Thank You again for your help and ideas.

Hi again everyone, OK here is the deal I got a Gameshark also now, and it is better but it can't find the memory card but it is plug into it, I get the plus icon when I go to drag and drop the file on the card, but when I let go of the mouse button it can't find the MS card. Hmmm I am thinking it is driver related and I was wondering if anyone new of some universal drivers to try?

Posting information for best answer to my issue at this time.
Well good news, I got the darn thing working and all I had to do, is borrow a PC with XP on it. The techs at AR said that Vista doesn't support the device or vice versa. In some case it does, because I can transfere the save's from in the program to the mem card, but I can drop another file from the pc on to the mem card. Hmmm do you think MS had something to do with that? Anyway, if someone else is having the same problem try it out on an PC with the O.S. of XP.
P.S. if you are having trouble getting the device to work in vista, for some reason there is a USB device that you have to force the drivers on. I pulled up device manager and scrolled down to the USB devices, plugged in my mem card and a new item came up. So I need updated drivers for that device and you have to opt for "let me choose" This is where you locate the drivers, now take it to "\program files\Datel\Action Reply Xbox\Drivers" and return. The next window should show two files and you want the select the "MaxDrive Xbox" option. Now these are uncertified drivers, but they work and you device should work. Again you can move saves from within the program, but you have to use XP to drag and drop a file from the PC to the card.
