Need some help on the installtion! Have the ISO Burnt.
Xbox won't read the cd !
HELP!
Dont think I posted this in the right spot but I figured since I'm a noob at modding it belonged in the "newbie" section

Is your Xbox already modded with a modchip or softmodded?
If it is not it will NOT boot the auto installer deluxe cd/dvd
If your xbox IS modded then it may just be a media issue. In otherwords try burning the AIDeluxe .iso to a DVD-R or CDRW.. Different xbox dvdrom drives like different media brands.
okay the xbox is retail. How would I go about softmodding it? Is it easy and or free? Give me some instructions, please!

Yes softmodding is basically FREE.. You will need a original game like mech assault or splinter cell and a memory card to copy over the files. Learn more about softmodding and the procedure on our HQ auto installer deluxe website here:
okay I have mechassault. Don't have a memory card. Have a 360 memory card though. Any possible way that would work? Or is there any way around the memory card?

nope, 360 memory card won't work
It's best to try an official xbox memory card.

as Hobbs mentions you could use a USB flash drive as your memory card, use a program called Xplorer360 to access it and to transfer the softmod files to it.
Then you need to mod a Female USB connector into your controller / controller cable :
Now if all goes well do you guys have a recommended dashboard?
I'm thinking I want XBMC because you can have youtube and stuff but can XMBC still play games? Is there anyway that I can have the XBMC as like a tab on a different dashboard?
XBMC will play your games, its probably the best dash out there.
Saying that, things like the emulator section or the file manager can be a little confusing.
you could set up your xbox with UnleashX as the main dash and have XBMC accessible through the Applications tab in the main menu. _________________
When you run the MechAssault softmod exploit you have the option of installing either EvolutionX or UnleashX as your main dash, after you installed UnleashX use the Auto Installer disc to install XBMC to your Apps folder, thats about it reboot and you`re all done. _________________
I'm going to be using a USB route not a memory card. but i was wondering. Is it possible to use a SD card as the memory card? The card reader is USB based. I'm wondering if it would be possible to transfer the files to the SD then using the fancy USB cord (which the reader is hooked to) Have it read the SD would the xbox be able to pick up these files?
I'm going to try that approach and I'll post the results.
