OK, so i have my modded xbox and i am trying to connect it to my laptop via a crossover cable. MY dash is EVOX.

I followed all the steps in the tutorial on this site.

static IP- Yes
xbox IP-192.168.1.5
Subnet - 255.255.255.0
Gatewway - 192.168.0.1

Laptop
IP-192.168.1.4
Subnet - 255.255.255.0
Gatewway - 192.168.0.1

Firewalls are disabled.

I have tried to connect with FlashFXP and Cxboxtool but both show that the connection times out.

I think the problem lies with the connection. It shows "limited connectivity" for the network connection.

What am i doing wrong? I know the crossover cable works as another dude FTP'd games from his xbox onto it.Any and all help is appreciated. I want to transfer games from laptop to XBOX. Is there any other way to transfer files from laptop to Xbox? I do not have a router.

I have bitgamer invites should anyone want any.....

yes, username and password have been entered and checked on the XBox.

LIke i said, i think the problem is with the network connection-is it possible that my laptops network card does not support it? It says it is Broadcom NetLink (TM) Gigabit Ethernet.

Any help is appreciated-thanks

Make sure the passive mode is off on the xbox and ftp app, what ftp are you using?

Problem solved-thanks for trying to help anyways!!!

I read somewhere that there does not have to be a default gateway, so i left it blank, and it works fine.

I have bitgamer invites if any noobs like me would like them.
