Hi guys...
Update:
Thanks to your' help, I managed to install & flash 2 chips (x2.6 & x3ce) in 2 boxes, & using the auto-installer disk get the hdd formated & everything loaded and set up on the x2.6 box 4 my grandson, & it is working fine !
lol, my daughter say's she has to drag him out of his room now.
Thank's again!
My question: I'm wanting to take the hdd (260g) out of an older xbox and put it in the new box with the x3 chip in it. It has all the apps ect, already on it. I tried unlocking it & installing it, but the f drive dosen't show up. I figure from my research it has to do with the eeprom. I couldn't find anything specific to this in the tut's/forums ecept 4 a softmodded box. can you provide me with a link or give me the skinny/steps on what i need to do?
Thank's.

You need to change the settings in the dash and in you X3CL to get it to read the F.

wes: It was the x3cl setting. Working fine now. Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
thought I would take the older xbox I took the hdd out of and give it to my son to set up xbmc on. (It has x2pro chip w/m7 bios) He can take advantage of xbmc as he has broadband internet & wireless router. Do you see any problem with using the m7 bios on the box for that purpose?
