Ok, I literally freaked out.
I installed another Dash like Avalanche or whatever its called as a application. All of the sudden I get a message with green writing across my screen saying I need to contact Microsoft for assistance.
I used the AID and removed all applications, removed all dashes and booted up using the Splinter Cell Cd and it will boot using the AID disk.
Now I have files everywhere I'm guessing left overs from various things and I notice I still have my Microsoft dash backup because the soft mod app restored it.
Should I just re-soft mod it using Wes video minus the backup? I have the entire xbox backed up on my laptop but I want to make sure I don't screw anything up deleting anything so I just stoped where I am and Im looking for guidence.
I could delete everything on the Xbox, but I don't know what files are important that I cant just write over or delete.
Help

Just go to softmod one click install in the AID disk and run that, it will put you back to square one but it will work.

Welp since I uninstalled everything I'm more or less starting over again. I was just trying to make sure I don't have to re backup the eeprom stuff because I did already the first time.

when you go to reinstall the mod it will check for you and make sure you have everything backed up before it mods it _________________

Yeah I found that out yesterday. I ran the installer and used the Install feature of the AutoInstaller and installed XBMC as my default dash and everything appeared to work fine. Things seemed a bit off. My screen resolution was off. I couldn't get the weather set so I uninstalled everything and decided to do it all from scratch again.
When I went to verify my MS backup it was well bad or something so luckly SoftMod caught it and then it made me another one. I was thinking "OK, this is interesting how it can get wacked out for some reason or another."
No biggie backed it up again and watched Wes's video for the 15th time. I've literally used that video like 5times over the last few days. Thank you, thank you for taking the time to create it.

All good man, its what the vid is for, the XBMC build on the AID disk had a flaw in it that stops the weather from working but you can use the TUT under my Sig to get a working copy and update.
I know guide is spelled wrong but every time i change it my avatar goes out so i keep it that way. LOL

Well what got me was I originally installed it this way.
E:\Apps\XBMC
I didn't catch the install in E:\ XBMC
I was getting so mad and I couldn't find the location to update to the newest build that I said forget it. I'm doing it the first way. hahaha

Just make sure when you change your dash to use the aid Dash/softmod files and not the ones for a chipped xbox.
