I had my x-box modded a few months ago , never had any problems.. Welllll , my son got a hold of my contgroller when i had the Xenium menu up , and i have no idea what he did , but now when i go to the Menu Launch from my Xenium menu , i dont have the MS Dash or the Evox Launch option available anymore!!!! , I also selected Recovery from the Xenium menu but all I get is a solid red LED... I dont know what to do , i have the Auto installer backup and all that but have no idea which direction to go... Anybody have any idea what my son did??

I really have no idea what he did, except possibly delete your flashes.
I would just try to first see if you can assign the TSOP flash, and then if that goes well, flash the modchip.
When you did the recovery, where did you put the recovery.bin file? Or, did you burn the iso recovery files to a disk and try from the dvd drive? I would suggest if you are going to do a recovery, unlock the HD, FTP the recovery.bin to the E drive. I would also use the recovery file that will set your chip to factory condition. Then you can just start all over again.

well , i tsop the retail dash back on the launch menu , but now when i try to boot my retail dash , i get the 05 error...wtf ... well imma try to ftp the recovery file ... Whats the 2 cd roms u sent with my mod?? i know one is the emu auto installer ,, but the onter one'?

Calm down bud, it's no biggie. Lock your HD. 05 is due to HD being unlocked. It will be okay man....trust me.

lol , ok so u see how newb i am?? .. I didnt make a recovery cd i just selected the recovery option from the Xenium OS.. I also tried to restore EEprom , maybe that has nothing to do with it..But im lost at this point

Once you verify that you can get the MS dash working again and your retail kernel TSOP flash is fine, then ou now have to load your hacked bios back to the mod chip.
You can do this one of two ways. First, you will have to remind me what vesion xbox you have as I cannot remember.
If you have a 1.6 you will need the M8 bios. If you have something else, you can use the Xecuter2 4983.67 bios.
You can make a bios CD to flash the chip, or you can FTP the bios to your Xbox HD using the Xenium Ice's FTP tools. FTP'ing is the easiest way, and since it sounds like you have FTP knowledge let's do that first.
Give me your email address and I'll email you the bios.bin file that you need to ftp to your xbox.
Turn your xbox on and Unlock the HD if it's locked again. When done with that scroll down and select Settings. Next select Network Settings and make sure it says USING STATIC IP at the top. If not, change it. Then, take note of what your IP address is. Make sure it's the IP address that you normally use when you FTP to your machine. If not, change it.
Then, scroll down to Restart Network and select that.
Once network is restarted Open up FlashFXP or whatever FTP program you use on your PC and connect to your xbox. Go ahead and FTP the bios.bin file to your xbox. You can FTP it to C or E, no difference.
Once it's there, close your FTP program.
Go bakc to the Xenium Ice menu and select Launch Menu.
Next Select ADD ITEM. Select FLASH. You will get a list of drives, select the drive that you FTP'd the bios.bin file to and then scroll and select the bios.bin
name the flash, assign the LED color.
Lock the HD.
You're all done.

You did my Mod from a 1.6 i thought but i know for sure that it wasnt the M8 BIOS because the launch item was the Xecuter4268 or whatever you mentioned before.. But that should tell you what you need to know

If you get to the point to where you are still unable to get your MS Dash/Retail Kernel going, and you want to recover your chip use the directions I gave you in the previous post.
Here is where you can get the recovery.bin file. This .rar file should have two files. One is a bin file that restores back to factory condition. I would use that one. The other, only upgrades the OS. It's what you use when you don't want to lose any bios' that are flashed to the chip. But, you already lost them so I would just restore to factory.
Again, I would only use the restore to factory condition if you are unable to get the Retail Kernel and your hacked bios working. If you try to flash your chip and it's not working, then we can restore the chip to the condition that it was purchased in and start froms cratch. I have supplied enough info here for you to do this, just let me know if you need me to email you a bios.

ok , yea so i got the retail kernel working...So im going to try this .. I just hope that my kid didnt format one of the partitions
