if your referring to your posts about uninstalling the soft mod then i wouldn't recommend following that tut
the only options i know of would be to hotswap it and use hdmaker or a chip

a chip or hotswap will fix that. A chip would definatly be the easiest. _________________

Whit the solderless solution thay are all ez to install but if you got the cash the best is going to be the X-3 with a xapter solution.
Or if you want something cheaper but has all the features youll need the X-2 with solderless.

With a mod chip the bios is on the chip and enuff info to boot the aid disc so you dont need the hdd to launch a dash.
If you install a chip and got it in there right all you need to do is put the aid disc in the tray fire it up and boom it launches aid and you can use that to format the hdd and install what ever.
There are lots of nice things about the chip like no need to lock the hdd, no need to freak out if you trash your dash, hdd upgrade is as ez as pop in a new hdd and aid and your done and you can tell all your friends "yeah softmods are ok if you cant solder but i got a chip and can delete my C drive just for fun if i want to."

the software on the chip (be it a custom OS or hacked bios ROM) is able to bypass the HDD lock and by reading the onboard EEPROM info will be able to lock/unlock the HDD at will.
