Alright, so I got a chipped xbox from my friend, i don't know what version it is but its loaded with the "AppleX V" chip. If you turn it on it goes to the regular xbox dash, when you hold the on/reset button it loads into the ms dash but with a orange "X" logo, aka the chip is activated. Now what do I do next to get going with a new dash? I've looked around and actually tried burning stuff, but nothing seems to be working...lol. I have SONY DVD-R media and some Verbatim CD+RW's.

excellent, I have one downloading before this post. Im getting it from a torrent but it is going pretty slow. Is there a specific version I should look for? Is there any special burning options I have to take note of?

No prob man and good luck, the disc drive in an xbox can be hard to make read a disc so if you look at the top of the page youll see a tab that is labled dvd/cd media, that will tell you what type of cdrw or dvd r works best for your drive.
