Posted: Wed Jun 06, 2007 9:04 pm Post subject: Just FLashed modchip but boots into MS Dash
I HTTPed to my xbox and put a BIos to replace the one that came on the chip. the BIos 3.0.3. It flashed my chip perfectly until I booted it up again, and IT said Xecuter rox my box when it booted up. THen it just went right to the original MS Dash. this makes me soo angry! I tried switching banks, (I have a 2.6CE modchip) but it booted up the same way.
Can anyone help me fix this problem? I think it has to do with me flashing the wrong bios onto my modchip, but I could be doing something wrong. PLz tell me if I am doing so. How can I flash a new bios onto my modchip if I cant even get to the screen to do so? HELP!!!

do you have a dashboard installed on your hard drive yet, other than the normal microsoft dash?

oh man, i forgot about that....lol. I only have the original MS dashboard installed. HOw do I get another one and where do I get another one? and how do I install it? should I get Xbox mEDIA CENTER or whatever it is called? and do you know where to get it? *very confused...plz spend time explaining how to do this....very gratefull....!!!!

1. go to download.com and grab the free program called utorrent
2. go to this thread and download the torrent http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/postt21290.html
3. use that torrent (just double click on it) to download aid 4.01 (its an installer)...it will open up in utorrent and start downloading automatically.
4. when aid 4.01 gets done downloading (itll take a while) - read the tutorial in the aid 4.01 manual (included in the file) to make your iso file and burn it to a dvd-r
5. then you can pop that disc in your xbox and boot it up and install whatever dash, application, or emulator you want.
6. send djb a pm thanking him for the nice installer he created.
its magical
if you dont want to mess with downloading it and everything...pm me and ill send you a disc in the mail.

thanks a lot. Im downloading the massive 986MB file right now. My friend dowloaded one like this that was version 2 i think. Does the version matter? Also, there are like 10 different files tha are compressed that look the same. What is the difference? AND!, when I make the disc and insert it, does it just boot up right when I turn on the xbox or what because right now, I only have the MS dashboard and I just flashed my bios. Will this magically put a different dashboard on my xbox?

when you download the file...right click on any of the rared packages and just say unrar and give it a folder to unrar to. then it will all unrar correctly.
open up the manual...its a pdf file aid 4.01 and read up on how to make the iso file. once you make the iso file with whatever packages you want added...then burn that iso (image) to a disc using dvd-decrypter at a very slow speed to a dvd-r. then you can just pop it in your xbox and boot it up and thats it...from then on you just choose your options, dashboards, applications, etc...
