Post subject: Backing up games to DVD...

Let me first start by saying that I DO OWN these games, I just want to back them up because in my house, things get beat up pretty fast. I dont want to waste alot of HDD space so I planned on just copying the disc's. All my xbox consoles are softmodded and should play burnt back ups right?

Do I just rip the games to ISO and then burn them at slow speed with nero or a similar program?

Thanks in advance!!

You may have to try out a couple of different dvdrs depending on what kind of drive you have. I have all my movies backed up and they all play on my xbox. I'm not sure what brand they are though.... All i know is that they were free from my mom's work and they're proffesional quality.

I'm just making the ISO's with DVD2xbox and then ftping them to the PC to be burnt. Alot easier that way.

Ok.. He's the deal with Craxtion and Qwix.

Craxtion gives me an error every time I open it and then shuts down. I have reinstalled and redownloaded it over and over.

With Qwix, Since my pc dvd rom wont read an xboxgame, do I just put the game in my xbox and ftp all the contents of the game to my pc and make an ISO from that?

heres what i do every time and it works:

dvd2xbox the game to my xbox (non iso mode)

then ftp that folder to my desktop

then use qwix to make an iso out of that game folder

then burn the iso with dvd-decryptor

craxion is probably giving you the error because i believe it uses microsoft.net framework 2.0 and you might not have that, but following the steps above will get you going

i use maxell as well...cheapest and they work.

I tried that first. I had it all set up to connect to the xbox and was able to read the drives but as soon as I tried to make the iso I got an error saying invalid data or something like that.
