Or better yet, remove the power supply, wire a little wheel straight into the power socket of the motherboard and have the little sucker run his legs off!!

Do you freak out when your computer has a virus? Well, there's a hamster in Will Knier's machine--and he's just fine with that. The 20-year-old sophomore at North Carolina State University, in Raleigh, modded his PC with 18 in. of PVC pipe, wood chips and a water bottle for his pet, L'il Buddy. "I'd seen a fish tank in a computer mod," he says. "I figured other small animals could live in the case, too." The critter splits his time between two rooms connected by a length of pipe outside of the case. Ever mindful of L'il Buddy's comfort, Knier plans to build a case with even more room this spring:
