I chipped my cuz's xbox about 2 yrs ago and now his mobo went bad with his hdd locked. Well I got a new mobo with the matching hdd. I loaded Evox onto the original hdd and copied to my cpu. But the problem is that I can't figure out a way to unlock his hdd from the xbox that was broke. is there an easy way to do this.? Basically I just need to unlock his hdd so it'll work with the new mobo.

There is a downloadable program called hdd unlock wizard. You can use that to unlock certain hdd (there is a list of drives that are compatible). It does require a purchase of a key to operate the program. I unlocked a Western Digital 250Gb hdd for $19.99. Just google hdd unlock wizard. _________________ Diversity helps to overcome adversity.

If you know how to solder you can just take the eeprom chip off the old mobo and put it on the new one it isnt that hard I have done it a few times then just use the old hdd on the Xbox if you need help locating the eeprom chip to switch it let me know. Also are the 2 mobos the same version?
