and without the backup file sid installer was 470 and run linux was 8 blocks does that sound about right? _________________

the sizes sound perfect. Here's what you do to get your backup back in place:
Pop the game in (you can coldboot if you want to, it really doesn't matter), launch your gamesave, then go to the backup menu. Tell it to backup the EEPROM. It will take you to the EvoX eeprom backup screen, back up the eeprom, then once it says "Done " you're good to go, just shut off the system and take out the game, whatever. _________________ "That which does not kill you, only makes you stronger."

so deleting that backup before i copied gamesave has no effect on sid working for next xbox correct?
i hotswap installed mine personally so ive never done sid from memcard.....theres really no chance of killin their box this way as long as i follow procedure correct? _________________
