i softmodded my friends xbox a while ago then he wanted a bigger hd so he used his 80 gig hitachti hd from his computer and i wiped everthing from it the i put it in my hardmodded xbox then formatted the partitions then i read the harddrive info and it said this harddrive is NOT lockable. well i tried to lock it anyway and then i put the eeprom in the new hd form the other. and now when its in my friends softmodded xbox it gives me error 5. what can i do about this?

Nothing. If its not lockable, you need a new hard drive for a softmod.

well could i just get him the xecuter 3 ce and install it and it will work fine even that there was a previous softmod on it?

Yes, but the softmod would have to be removed and a hacked dash installed.

you can do it when you get the chip in and flashed you can use aid to uninstall the softmod and install a hacked dash.

ok, my hardmod i got my done from a pro. and i need to learn how to flash the bios via ftp. where can i get the xecuter bios 3294 at?

Or if its a X3 with 3294 just change the boot location to where teh softmod is installed(likely E:\)

ok, well i heard vr. 1.0-1.5 is easier to install than 1.6-1.6b in 1.6 isn't it a little harder or what is the difference?
