Maybe I will try this SID 4 installer, since it seems to not be able to be installed unless everything is setup right. Do you think I still have to delete all of my mech assault saves?

You should for best compatibilty. Just use your Action Replay software to backup the saves, then dump them onto your computer. After that, dump the SID 4.5 onto your Hard Drive and call it a day. Also, I think the only softmod installer that will launch from the mem card and not require the hard drive transfer is 007:AUF. I know I modded ONCE via memorycard only with Sid 2.11, but I'm not sure if the scripting was changed after that. "SID 4.5 Nknave Edition"? Is that the one I should be using? Just put all of the .zips or only the mechassault? I'm not sure if I should use the "gameshark" one, but I am using an 8mb action replay card.

Ok I put SID45.NK.Loader.Mechassault.zip in PC database, then the memory card. I guess I am ready to go.

Seems as though I should also put in the SID45.NK.Launcher.
So now the mechassault zip, and the sid45.nk.launcher are on the ar card.

I guess I somehow have a bad copy of mechassault?? It is an original. And instead of "going down hard" it says "Planet Fall" at the campaign screen. I'm glad I was being very cautious on this one.
