i need help getting on xbl i just soft modded my x box and when i try to get on live it says i have to trouble shoot and i do and it gets to the second step and screws up and says that it cant find me connection and i restarted my modom and router and it still doesnt work so i need help

its saying that to check the cables, or restet my router whichj i did both but someone told me that since i was trying to do accont recover that i have to recover it on my normal x box then transfer it to my modded x box then it should get on so im going to try that

This happened to me (twice).
Somewhere along the way the settings get jacked. I had to uninstall the softmod, go to connections and reset everything to automatic. (IP, DNS, Gateway.. Check them all and choose Automatic on everything you can. )
I then had to go into my router and reset that to DHCP and automatically obtain IP address.
I then turned the xbox back on a played on Live to check and make sure it worked. I had to dowload some update too. After a few kills and getting killed I finished the game, turned off the xbox and then re-modded.
So far everything is going good. I have it modded and I played on Live.
I am assuming you are using dual boot mode with booting with eject as original. Otherwise you will be banned if trying to log in to Live.
