Hi there ! Can someone help me , i´m totally stuck.
I modded my v1.6 Xbox with Aladdin Live chip and it boots to cromwell flashbios 2.6 , the options is "boot from cd , Boot from HD , unlock/lock HD".
Now , i have tried to every kind of combination of Evox M8 bios , and others too , but i understand that M8 is the only bios which works in 1.6 xbox , everyone said "unknown flash".
I have tried to use power button for how long because it should be about 3 - ? seconds when the write protect is off with live , not work with 1 or 2 seconds too.
I´ve read every forums about help , no way , i have send email to chip sales and they give some advice but no help.
I even can copy Bios.bin file to xbox hard drive with pc but it won´t still get that , says only "loading failed" , i think that there MUST be write protect ON whole the time, because it costs "Unknown flash" error.
How an earth i can write that bios to it with my xbox , because i have no programmer. Do i need to order that or is there some way to Force Write protect off in that Live chip.
Oh by the way , the result is same with v1.4 xbox , different chip but aladdin live too.
I read here and there that OzxFlash may help but how i can use that , it boots only to Flashbios mode straight , not any change to get some other programs to run.

Unfortunately, there have been some issues with Aladdin Live and 1.6 flashing. I don't know if the problem was rectified. I believe it was a cable issue, I can't remember for sure. But, I know that Aladdin made a post for technical help on the Aladdin Live chips.
Maybe he is subscribed to that post and if you post your question there he will get notified. Or, if anyone else here has your answer maybe they can ring in!
good luck!

Thanks for quick reply. I found this interesting text in aladdin web site: 5 seconds: chip enabled - flash enabled (release power button when led is flashing)
[Please note this has been disable in the newer versions to prevent people from damaging their chips]
So i think there is an answer why it wont succeed , i allready order that programmer so i won´t need to fight with that .
