With the release of Mega X-Key 2.1 Beta, owners of unmodded XBoxes now have the ability to hack and re-sign their game saves right from their PC.

A few of our users had helped us test it before this release and have alrady come up with some really great hacked saves with EVERYTHING unlocked (thanks BrienJ and LOTW).

This is just the first public beta release and includes the re-signer (it's on the "Settings/Options" screen) and support for a few games, although virtually every game will be supported. The next release will also include an integrated game save hacker as well as support for "Mega Codes" (similar to GameShark codes) and "Mega Cheats".

"Mega Codes" will be used for unlocking specific items or all items so that you can customize your hacked saves to your liking (i.e. in a racing game, you might want all cars and tracks unlocked, but not necessarily want all the races already won for you). "Mega Cheats" will allow you to do things that would not normally be possible just by "playing" the game (i.e. cars with more horsepower than they could ever have just by "playing" the game to get more horsepower).
