Hi,
I have ran through the software and I am very impressed. However, I have ran a seriese of tests and continue to get one problem and I was hoping you could help.
1. I transfered the files to the E of a modded box, then I used the same box with the chip turned off to test the application launch. All was well and installed just fine.
2. Now I transfered the save to a memory card, deleted the game save on the drive, transfered it back to the hard drive from the mc and when I run the app, I get a black screen of death.
3. I thought that it may have something to do with the transfer. I used 3 transfer apps during the test. UnleashX saves manager, Xbox Dash, and Xb-saves PC application. All the same, a black screen of death.
4. Thinking it was files I compared them to what was on my PC and they all matched, so I am at a loss. I want the ability to softmod any Xbox and that is why the MC save is important to me.
Any help is appreciated.
Thanks!
About all I could suggest is recopy the gamesave to your memory card , then dump it to your unmodded xbox's hdd.
Does that help?

Also, are you using Softmod installer deluxe v1.0 or v1.01 ??
I'd suggest upgrading to v1.01 as v1.0 had lots of bugs.

Would this be the same number for the PAL version of it?
I'm not sure but I would guess that this is only for the NTSC version.
The Splinter Cell number you're looking for is US0121OE-L1 1E

Cool thanks for the help
I hear there's a list of all the numbers on Xbox-Scene somewhere, but I'm not sure where. If anyone knows could they post a link please?

You possibly forgot to install Evox or UnleashX as a dashboard...

No I don't even get to that point. As soon as I load the save game, I get the "customer service" error msg. I don't even get a choice about what to install Has anyone done the softmod successfully with the Splinter Cell PAL version?

I will be testing that tonight, by dumping the memory card to an unmodded xbox. BTW I am using the Mech exploit, and I have also purchased an offical Xbox MC, hoping it makes a difference.
Thanks.....I will let you know what I find out.
Oh yeah, version 1.1.
Thanks.

I was just wondering if the font exploit that is being used is the most up to date, in that does it eliminate the clock loop and work for all kernals. All of the recent font tutorials i looked at were confusing and this one seems like the easiest way to go, however i just want to make sure it will work on all kernals and eliminate the clock loop problem. Also i plan on doing a hdd upgrade and was wondering if any one has succesfully done it using this method for the soft mod.

I found the problem. It appears that the memory card used was the issue. The original Xbox MC worked just fine. It seemed the difference of 3 blocks. sTrange!
Anyway, all is working.
Thanks,!

The Splinter Cell I am using is definately the original and not the Classics version. I am also using the Action Replay cartridge for copying the save games to the unmodded box. Don't know i this will make a difference?

I see in the posts above the #'s for Splinter Cell and Mech assault. Let's say i went to blockerbuster and rented a copy of 007 AUF would this work or did they come out with newer versions of these. Thanks for posting the #'s for the other 2 games I will have to check those to see if they will work..

It shouldn't be a prob coz Action Replays can be used to transfer the softmod from PC to a Xbox memory device.
About the only things I can think of is there might be a problem with your memory card, try clearing it completely before copying it over again.
Since I'm not 100% clear on how to use an Action Replay yet (getting one sent to me soon hopefully) I can't really suggest more than this.
All I can say is that I've used the Splinter Cell PAL version here and it's fine.
