Im sure many of you noticed weve got some pretty old stuff here, well thats all about to change. All the old/obsolete apps etc will be being archived and replaced with up to date downloads. The latest MadMab/EmuXtras emulators, latest installers, latest boot discs will be being added for direct download, FTP download and torrent download. Many of them will be freely available in the regular download section. On some of the very large programs like Emu Installer VIP FTP or torrent will be the only distribution option due to the high bandwidth requirements of passing such files to you.
Also Im sure many have noticed that XBMC4XBOX and SCHSS have both gone offline, not to worry, Ive been in contact with some of the devs of the XBMC project who work with myself and others and have been assured that SVN is staying up and that XBMC will be back. Just a matter of a hosting snafu that is being dealt with. In the mean time I have the latest available builds which will be made available here on site for your use, along with my own "nightly build" (an insanely pimped out XBMC with every skin and script, add-on and plugin I could find added) which is included in XBMC Installer
And due to all the skinning sites having been offline for some time I realise how hard it is to find skins so my entire collection including ones not made by me will be made available here as well. If there seems to be a demand for it I will also start making Evox skins and make them available to you.
But Hq needs something from you, the member. We need you to click on a sponsor ad now and then or if you feel so inclined to sign up for VIP to help fund the site and keep us online.
EDIT
The latest official and unofficial XBMC is up in the free section, latest Mednafenx-PCE, Final Burn Legends and Final Burn Alpha, close to 100 skins for UnleashX, AutoBuilder Jr. and V2. Enjoy guys/gals. Tommorow the latest Nes, Snes, Genesis, PS1 and KI emus will be being added along with more UnleashX skins and all my Evox skins.

It is but we gotta keep the greatest mod console ever alive. I bought a 1TB HDD for the express purpose of backing up the old stuff before removal so that it will still be available upon request. And I have a 500GB external filled to about 4GB free with new stuff for the site. Will take me a bit to get it all up since I need my daily 360 fix and uploading boggs my connection lol. But Im sure between the new content and your skin/interface revamp by the time we're done people, especialy the old school members, will have a coronary and think they showed up at the wrong site

Nearly every single file from the Xbox-HQ downloads area should already be available on the VIP FTP Server.. I remember spending days getting it all and backing it up. So worst case i guess there is always the older stuff still on the VIP FTP!
Oh, and hopefully this will bring some more xbox 1 users back to HQ.. I have neglected the site for many years due to the xbox 360, but i always do my best to reply to emails, pm's and other requests from our members here. _________________ HQ Network:

Have been seeing a big influx of new users. Past 2 weeks Ive noticed like 20-30 new members...Yay. And no work tommorow so will be able to put in a good stint on the uploads.

Gonna be loads of new emus coming. The new PCSXBOX is almost done and I should be getting my test copy soon. And Ive got a few bombshell apps that are almost done and will take XBOX modding to the next level.
Way I see it with what we know now, XBOX is ready to make a comeback. Many of us now have a far better understanding than there ever was back when the scene was hopping. If I would have told people even a couple of years ago you could use WMV9 to make XMV they say I was crazy, or that I didnt have to be constrained by the WMV8 aspect ratio theyd say I was a liar. And yet anybody whos seen my video skins and the quality of the video knows otherwise now.

So whats the plan in the downloads area SPPV? Are you just going to make a new folder called archived or something?? Have you thought much about this? Just wondering. Oh can can't wait to see some new files. _________________ HQ Network:

Really it comes down to space I guess. Ive got so much stuff backlogged here I dont know if we can fit it all along with the realy old stuff. To be honest do we really need things that are useless like Idots Tools for example, unless you have an XBOX thats never seen the light of day it wont work on it. Many other things like that (old HDM distros, buggy ass emus almost as old as me etc) Ive got a couple of old towers sitting here unused, I guess I could always set up a Canada/Archive FTP server, just speed wouldnt be super snappy like the VIP FTP, maybe 100k or so

Things are moving along good. More of the latest and greatest emus have been added, along with about 30 more skins including an Evox skin pack. Im slowly making my way through the antique stuff. All old and obsolete apps and emus will now be found in the Archive section. Ive made it from A-C on the archiving. Gonna take a break so I dont get punch drunk and make a mistake, and play some BF3 so theres less chance of me getting the team captured by the Jihadis when I hook up the HQ guys later on for a game
Keep your eyes open for the new ROMs, the RRP packs (complete ROM sets) are on deck for upload tonight. And tommorow will be FBA/FBL ROMs.

Just seen this thread. Great job SPPV, I'll be downloading some of those as I don't have the latest XBMC.
To keep this site alive, we need as many members to post post post all of the time. Make members aware that any problems they have, they should post here straight away and the regulars should reply with any info at all, even if they are minimal. Anybody should post about a project they are doing and any other people should comment.
XBOX-HQ isn't going down this easy.
I'd like to directly help keep the Xbox rocking but I don't know how. Following your suggestion, hobbs, I will go into InPrivate in IE (cause I don't want all those ads junking up my history) and start clicking.
SPPV, I want you to add a modded PMIII skin to XBMC that I made. I basically took all of the things I wasn't really happy with on the skin and modded them. I also have the firey XBMC logo as my background. Send me a message when you can and I will give you access to my FTP server for upload of the files (but you might be around for a while since my internet is slow).
That reminds me, the site is fairly slow for me. Definitely not my computer because my Xbox loads the site about as slow. If you could, add a mode or skin where the site will be easier on my bandwidth, but still keep the awesome look it has now.
I think that the forums could be made easier to read. It is mostly small things that make it harder though. It seems to have a very long list. I don't really have any suggestions on what to do. The scrolling bar of the latest posts is amazingly useful.
As you can see, I am still modding and making changes to my Xboxes. Hopefully starting a MASSIVE project soon. Summer holiday being so close, I get much more time (yes I go to school cause I'm probably younger than every member on this site).
I wish I could help making some of these apps for the Xbox, but I'm lacking skills. The Xbox probably doesn't understand Lua, my forté in programming.
Good to see these new members. I would like to see them posting and being welcomed to the site, as well as seeing their setups with Xboxes and stuff. Perhaps a new member introduction thread? _________________

New Final Burn Legends will be up later today. Just some small bug fixes and support for 2 more games over the 1.10. And the new PS1 emu should be around fairly soon. We're just in the process of bugtesting it now.
