I have built an adaptor for under that will convert any RGB signal to VGA for use on any SVGA compatible screen, including plasmas

my problem is that i need a bios to load my xbox that will support RGB output from boot. I know the cromwell bios does and the MS bios does. but as for the others. is there any bios that has rgb enabled from boot?

Aslo do all dashboards support true RGB?

Im not sure if anyone will be able to help. but any pointers would be cool

OK ive got it running
The RGB to VGA converter Does work with all bioses that ive tryed.

Here it is. its still in proto type but its working into my plasma vga input

As you can see its got a picture while booting Smile
If you can work it out you will see a ferrite core suppresor. it does make a big differance to noise. There is none when i use it.

Im Loving MGS2 in VGA quality

as you can see i cant afford the stand or the wall bracket. and i havent got a tv tuner box for it so i had no other inputs other than vga.

But for less than £10 ive made a gizmo that will let me take any RGB input into it.

If there is a need for a tutorial on this gizmo or if anyone needs help building there own then let me know.
Im sure it will save alot of cash. and if you use good quality components then there will be no problem with quality. it the best ive ever seen my xbox.

Jeez Radia, I would secure that tv, as opposed to letting it rest on top of the couch.

That thing would be my pride and joy. I would hate to see for an accident to happen.

Any chance of a tutorials?? please.... lol
Im using a VGA convertor that i paid quite a bit for and its absolute crap.. Well its ok, dont get me wrong.. It does work.. But it only supports 640x480 VGA.. dam..

Im no genies when it comes to VGA and graphics cards/adapters as ive never really had the time to catch up.. Im more a programmer and software guy..

anyway, thanks for the pics.. Hopefully you may have the time to do a quick tutorial with somes screenshots.

bye for now

Forahobby, you're probably better off just making sure you get a TV with component inputs at least, the quality is higher than RGB for a start.

Radiskull, nice work, can you get all of the ED and HD modes running through that setup? Because I didn't think RGB supported 480p/720p/1080i/etc.
