Hello,
I just installed a new chip in a 1.6 xbox and am having trouble getting the chip to boot. I did the bottom rebiuld and connected LS to LF on the chip itself via the included slip on connector. When I attempt to power up with the chip installed, I just get a blank screen on the TV and a xbox blinks orange once. It sounds like the cd drive is seeking 3 times and then nothing. I have tried checking my rebiuld connection and rewired a couple of wire to be safe. If I remove the chip, it does boot up normally. Anyway, any help would be greatly appreciated. BTW, the chip did come preassembled if that help
Thanks in advance!

i think there is a tutorial on fixing it in the tut section ,

Normally blank screen is a sign you are in the wrong bios bank. If you have a 1.6a use 3.0.1 or set A-18 to minus. If you have a 1.6b then use the 3.0.3 flashbios with A-18 set to plus.
Also sometimes your header just needs a bit of a jiggle during a blank screen to get the bios to load.
Also check that the chip will disable and enable or at least get different results when you try. If you are getting a blank screen that means the chip is very close to loading the bios and will at some point become reliable. Flashbios in general is a bit flakey this way.

Also the amber flash you see means the bios is loaded and maybe you need to use the standard AV pack instead of the HD one with the Linux flashbios 3. Also use stock controllers to navigate the menus. Maybe the blank screen is the known Linux bug that it need's the stock AV wire or an RF wire to display.

BTW, It is a Sunday chip I am installing. I am using it with an HDTV via the HD AV Pack. I will try a normal AV pack tonight. Like I mentioned, everything works fine if I simply unplug the Sunday board from the xbox. That is why I figured it was related to the board itself.
