You have one of two problems.

Bad Bios

Bad install.

Eliminate the install possibility by checking your solderless adapter for proper alignment if you have solderless.

If you used soldering iron, check your pin header area. Make sure there are no gaps in the lpc holes. Make sure you have no solder splash. Make sure you have no solder bridges.

Disconnect the D0 wire and make sure your Xbox boots normally, if it does then you should be in good shape as far as NOT having a damaged mobo.

I would then try to wipe the chip clean of any flashes on it. If you have a programmer to flash the chip, try reflashing it. The bank may be corrupt or have the wrong size bios to it.

I have never installed an Aladdin, so correct me if I am wrong. But, if the D0 is not connected securely, wouldn't it just boot normally?

Then, if he had a blank HD and the Xbox booted normally, he wouldn't get the on and off power cycle, he would just get a dashboard error most likely (21 or 13).

I think that the fact he's getting the frag tells him the D0 is making good contact.

Thanks for the replies, the mobo was sent in for repair and it worked fine for the repairer, (TSOP was stuffed but the modchip worked). when I got it back the BT needed resoldering, have checked the join and it looks good. Any other possibilities
