Hey all, I am looking for a clear jewel, or even ones that have etching, but I want the ones that have a lip on them and can slide down into the cutout. I hate the look of gluing a clear acrylic jewel onto a case top. It always looks like hell!!
I did one for jiggysmb and he provided the clear jewel. It was a Xenium jewel, but it had a lip around it and it just popped nicely into place. No glue was needed.
Any info/links would be great!!

Etching is just the way they put logo or images on it. They are laser etched.
And, they have this lip that goes around the jewel. The jewel actually pushes snugly down into the hole that you cut out of the center of the case top and pretty much snaps into place. You can put some adhesive around the lip of the jewel and it doesn't show, but there's really no need.
I have installed a few of them and they are awesome. I actually found someone who sells them so all is good. They are 20.00 each, which is rather expensive, but well worth it for an extremely professional look. I have installed a few clear jewels in the last few weeks and was not satisfied with them at all. I hate that you can see the glue through the real thin flat ones. They just look hideous. Plus, when you cut the center out sometimes it's not perfect and the lipped part of the jewel hides it nicely.
Here is an image so you can see how it's lipped and it just slides down in the hole.

i cleared my jewel and cut out a hole. i left a little bit around the edges so the jewel doesnt fall through. you said that the jewel snaps into place but mine just sits there and if i flip the case over the jewel falls out. whats the best way to make it stay without any visible crap like glue or tape? _________________ XBOX
