Attempting to show my grandson my daughters Bad*** Xecuter 3 Mod Original Xbox. I attempted to power on several times and different ways ( tapping quickly holding down power button and using the disk button) the unit would immediately shut down. The Xbox played fine a year ago. It was unplugged sitting on a shelf. So I opened her up and found some swollen capacitors and replaced them. While in there I also re applied paste to GPU and CPU. I tried again to power her up and same result. I'm lost at this point if any of you guys have an idea.
Thanks from East Texas

SorryI didnt add to first comment but I already purchased a psu from fleabay and it acts the same. Could it be the transistor everyone talking about.

I may be just displaying my almost total ignorance about Xecuter 3 mod-chip installations but isn't something missing from those pictures?
There's some sort of Xecuter mounting on bottom of the board, probably replacing some of the additional wiring usually required but on the top those two connectors should be plugged into.........................the mod-chip.
The red one I know is for the extra power that is needed for the mod-chip when used on a v1.6 MB.
There's just nothing there only the pin header which the mod-chip should be plugged into. You didn't just remove the mod-chip for the pictures or for some other reason did you?
If correct and the mod-chip is missing it is not really surprising it is not working.

Check the voltage of the collector pin of the transistor you mentioned. It's the pin on the side by itself. It should be 3.3Vdc +/- 5%.

At this point if anyone that would like to help me get this thing going for my grandson that would be awesome and of course would pay you for your time and shipping to and from. I have over 200 games for this system haste to see it go to waste.
