Well guys its getting close to XMAS and I thought a nice present (besides the SSH album you can get for free on my Mediafire) would be a new Babylon. A new direction, a totaly new mod(Ive been working it for close to 2 years now) and a completely new approach to the game.
Full chip support. Thats right FLASH SUPPORT!!!!! USB HDM support. And drum-roll please native SATA support for the HDM installer. Oh and I almost forgot, no CXBOX Tools, built in XISO maker-extractor.
So whos brave? Whos got the hardware and cahonies to test this bad boy? Alpha Build is 90% done, and I need testers. Like always testing for me comes with strings. No fly by night douche-bags. Serious and experienced members only. Losers looking for an early taste only WILL BE BANNED. I cant stress this enough guys, if you dont got the time, the ex, or the hardware dont put your name in the hat cause it will just mean I will have to ban you. And I dont like doing that.
This is aimed for a XMAS eve release so lets get on it.

I'll defiantly give a drum roll for that! Whats the requirements for early testing ? When can we expect an official release ? SPPV You're pretty awesome dude!

A long term member of the scene. A softmodded or dual-bank(or quad-bank) chipped XBOX, a PC capable of running HDM and experience with HDM, and experience with my previous installers and compilers. Some testers will need to be going the USB HDM route and some able to test SATA. I built a 500GB Seagate SATA 2 no issue, but I have no adapter so cant test said build on the XBOX.
In a nutshell they must have the hardware to test the new additions to the app and the experience that I dont need to hand hold them every step of the way. New features added, but the way it works is the same basic setup Ive been using for years. Ux XBOX installer, CMD compiler, and HDM 1.9 based PC install.
Many thanks for SATA support goes to ldotsfan, he pointed me last year to a partialy finished XBOX Debian distro from 2010 which had the USB and SATA support and simply needed to be melded with HDM and a few calls added.
Im also pretty close to having a full Windows replacement for HDM. SHHHHHHHHHHH Only stumbling block is locking the HDD due to Winblows retarded aversion to low level locking. Im toying with making it a bootable app as opposed to installable so that you can simply reboot the PC after building and have it auto run Linux Locking Tools.

Oh and something else I forgot to mention is you no longer have to worry about extracting an ISO for the PC Installer, or copying the resulting folder to C. Everything will now ship inside of an MSI package (runs x86 or x64 systems) which will put ALL the needed files in the proper spot. One less thing for users to worry about
I'll have a couple ALPHA build vids up tonight or in the morning showing the new MSI pack and XISO (XBOX Babylon Installer) creation straight from the Babylon1.exe.
People shouldnt think of this as true WIP. 90% of what makes Babylon, BABYLON I made and perfected or others made and perfected some time ago. This is a matter of adding bells and whistles and streamlining it for ease of use. Anybody who knows me and my work knows the XBOX installer, the softmod etc has been pushed to its limits and been put through the paces many times under various names (Pimped, AutoBuilder, SID, XBMC Installer, UX.40, Emu Installer etc) All that REALLY needs testing is the direct from UX flash support, SATA and USB support. The XISO component was written many moons ago by SNK, and I simply added his work into the Babylon1.exe
We got any other "Installer" guys here? Im talking WinBlows Installers like Nulsoft, DemoSHield and MSI/Advanced Installer. This is my first foray into the world of GUI installers, I always used CMD/exe installers, and a few experienced minds would help. Get your name on the package, get your name out there. An SPPV-? Co-Production etc lol

Well seems when it comes out it'll be perfect for me, i have the sata to ide adapter, just cant get the hard drive formatted and locked. Good luck with everything though! Appreciate your hard work!

Im at around 95% completion on the Alpha build. Added some new features to the compiler this morning. It will also now make an Emu Installer V3Lite XISO. Only difference between it and the original V3 is no PS1 games, less FBL games, but it includes HCF's Jag emu with some games and V3 didnt have a Jag emu (due to release discrepancies lol) . Fixed the XBMC skin bug so now the skins actualy go in the skin folder instead of the root XBMC directory(PC installer, XBOX installer never had this issue). I still need to add the TSOP softmod/flash portion, and Im looking at the Filezilla SRC to see if I can add it in and do a Live Web install/update softmod. Run some wimpy 1MB GS with IP set to a specific static address then run the exe and do an auto FTP softmod And I also finished the ALPHA Babylon2 Updater. This will update a Babylon PC install (the ISO extracted to C:\) to a Babylon2 build so that people with the first release dont have to download the same SNES emu and ROMS etc again. Adds new files, removes old ones, replaces the Babylon1.exe with a shiny new Babylon2.exe Ive also done some work on file encryption and have a side by side Babylon2 installer thats double passworded and serial keyed ready if need be. Enter a password to get to the serial key screen, enter it to run the installer, then enter a password to run Babylon2 after its installed. Everything is run on a separate algorythym so the chance of hacking and matching all 3 1 time use lock codes is like 0 unless your the NSA or something LMAO
But the biggest updates wont go out if some legit testers dont sign up. I can only realisticly test some of it. I dont want another XBOXHDM1.9b, where it worked for like 3 people due to a BIOS bug that was impossible to fix due to such limited feedback.

come on folks, step up...
this benefits us ALL!
HARDMOD users, YOU TOO!
in fact, ALL who are able to 'put time in and feedback' on the test!
if you're just after a 'freebie' the original post says it best!

Got some more vids on the way.
1.Showing a CD sized Chip build (XBOXHDM)
2.Showing it make a EmuInstallerV3 ISO from the Babylon files
3.Showing it compile a TSOP flash GS
4.Showing it make a softmod pack for FTP install
5.Showing it make an MS Dash and emu pack for FTP install
Still working on adding in Filezilla so that Babylon2 can do an unattended softmod via FTP to make things a little easier for those who have trouble following a classic GS mod.
Edit/Update
Ive added a tutorial function which can be accesed at any time by typing tut. This will open your default web browser and take you to the Babylon2 videos page on Youtube. Ive also added a temp file delete function which will return it to a virgin state, and a start over function so if you mess up can always go back. Also sped up the XISO creation speed, knocked about 45 seconds off the time it takes to make a Babylon or V3Lite iso.

Ive added a corruption and file check to the compiler. It will now hash and compare every file (takes about 15 seconds) to make sure EVERYTHING is perfect. It will compare each file to the database I include and if it finds a discrepancy it will tell you specificaly what file failed the check and ask you if you would like to do a re-copy/extract and overwrite the failed file.
As for Auto-FTP install this is a no go. Sorry guys, but Filezillas limited CMD options, and Windows shitty CMD FTP means its just not possible. Short of me rewritting Filezilla (unlikely) or rewriting Winblows (yeah like thats gonna happen lol)
But I will still include the manual FTP. It will create the required files and folders then you just run the GS and run Filezilla and FTP said files and folders to your XBOX
Oh and Jesus Fuc%in Christ. No testers? WHat the HELL. I cant say "Its GOOD" off feedback from 2 people. Lets go guys. Good or bad response I dont care. Only people who have to worry when it comes to testing is losers who just want an early release and never had any intention of testing.
