Hey. I recently modded my xbox for the first time and now im trying to decide which is the best dashboard for me to use, i am currently using xmbc but i just installed it so i dont really know how to mess with it so before i even invest time to learn it should this be my default dashboard?
XBMC is the most feautre rich dash out there, theres not a lot you cant do with it. If your xbox doubles up as your media centre its the best dash to use, if your xbox is used as a game machine and occasionally as a media centre then give UnleashX a try, its got some great skins and looks cool with the PM3 skin set up to play preview videos (PM3 is the old default skin for XBMC, DVD2XBOX also looks similar so it keeps everything uniform). _________________

Hey, welcome to Xbox-HQ! And, as user1 said, the XBMC is by far the most popular default dashboard on the Xbox 1, and its easy to switch dashboard, all you need to do is FTP, rename the evoxdash.xbe in the E drive to something like evoxdashbackup.xbe, copy ALL the files from XBMC into the same drive, and then rename the file default.xbe, to evoxdash.xbe and restart your xbox. And thats basically how you replace a dashboard with another one. Once again though, XBMC can do everything any other dashboard has and alot more. And another good thing about XBMC is that it is still maintained, while the other dashboards dont ever get any updates. Anyways, good luck! _________________
