Ok, i have purchased two xapt3rs (one fore the 1.0-1.5 and the other for the 1.6). Well with the first one the little screw set that comes with it to screw it to the motherboard is stripped, this happened after inserting it twice, without very much force at all and the one that i bought just recently, the stupid screw was made wrong and so the male side of the screw that you put into the motherboard is too short to reach the female top through the xapt3r. Is there any way to connect the xapt3r without having to use the those particular screws? Thanks alot in advance.

Ok thanks alot. It's one of the most annoying things i have come across in xbox modding. The xapt3r is supposed to be a cheap and easy way to upgrade xbox hard drives, but seems more like just a cheap way for them to make money off of cheaply made merchandise lol. Oh well, i'ma try some things and see what i can do, i have alot of people wanting bigger hard drives, Xmugen has cought on and people want it.

Try hitting a hardware store for a little bigger screw, i have used the xapter one time and it wiggled loose so often i just solder the chip in now.
If that dont help you could try holding the xapter and chip in place with your hand long enough to run the AID softmod installer.

Yeah thats what i did to finish my nephews softmod that one of his little sisters messed up. they somehow deleted his ms dash then i guess took it to the ms dash or something, but i had to remove the soft mod reinstall an ms dash, back up everything and then resoft mod it all while holding the chip down, lol. Wasn't one of my more glorious days.
But i think i have an idea, i found a couple of washers that when placed on top of one another mimic the shape of the xapt3r screw, if i can find a long enough screw to go through them and then into the motherboard it might work.
