1. how hot should my xbox be, I was just looking around the settings in XBMC and the CPU and GPU are both about 130 degrees F.
2. to my XBMC my default dash do I just put the contents of the XBMC folder into my dash folder?
and 3. where do I get scripts for XBMC(like youtube and stuff), http://xbmcscripts.com/ is down
Thanks in advance

1) you can set a temp control in the XBMC settings.
2) Your safe bet is to use AID to install XBMC as your dash or you can check XBMC.org for full details.
3) You can extract most of the scripts worth having from the AID update pack.

1) yeah I saw that, but what should I set the temperature it for, what's normal?
2)I have a Thomson drive (it doesn't read CD media) and no DVD burner. but I found a guide on XMBC.org
3) does the aid update pack have to be on a CD or can I download it and delete everything except the scripts?

I know, but loud fans are annoying, lol but I guess that's better than my xbox overheating

damnit!
I screwed it up, I tried to make a shortcut with xbe shortcut maker, now it just boots to a black screen, no error or anything, just black
I have my eeprom, what do I do now?
should I just re-softmod it the way I originally did (with ndure through xboxhdm) I can get error 11 if I unplug the dvd drive

I told you the safe way was to use AID, make an xboxhdm disk and rebuild the hdd to stock.
When you do the softmod this time set XBMC as your dash from the start.

how do I set it as my dash?
do I put in it /xboxhdm/linux/ndure/E/dash?
and my Thomson drive doesn't read CDs and I don't have a DVD burner so I couldn't use AID...unless you can install it as an app through FTP?

If you were running unleashx you could have changed the fan speed from there.
Sounds like you might need to do a hotswap now. _________________

I wanted XBMC for other reasons anyways.
