Hey Guys, Great website. I have been lurking for a few years now and have been totally amused!
I've got a xbox (v1.1 I believe) I have it chipped with executer and flashed with executer bios and I think its an executer dash.
I've got all the popular emulators and games, now I want to install windows..... just to do it I guess.
I found a guide on another site (who's name I will not mention here). This guide describes how to install xdsl and use it to emulate x86 in order to run windows 98. The author actually did it an also a lot of others.
Problem is that tutorial was written 3 years ago, and a small program he used to modify windows 98 iso that was once available to download is now a dead link on that site.
The name of the file is win98.rar. It is very small. Under 2MB. I was just wondering if anyone knows where I am able to download this file or if anyone who has it could possibly email it to me.

I cant say i know of the rar file you need but i can tell you running any ver. of windows from the xbox will be like running the Daytona 500 on a riding mower.

That file your after has long gone, it was a small script to automate the process of running win98 via qemu through xdsl
Providing you have a COA for win 98 try googling ` win98 xdsl`
TBH while its a fun thing to do to your xbox, its not that much fun using it ..... Why not just stick with Linux ? _________________

Yep, I tried googling and nothing. I do have a legal copy of win 98 se. I guess I want to do it just to do it.
How come the file is "long gone"? Anyone still have it by chance?

I'd imagine its long gone because no one uses windows on their xbox and the tut is 3 years old. A file that hardly ever gets downloaded will be taken off most upload sites after 3 years. _________________
