I'm wondering if my problem with my xbox not working after mounting the Xapt3r and the chip is that there is nothing on the chip. Does the chip have to be flashed before something will work? THanks.

Okay I got everything working by doingthe soldering method. HOw do I flash the bios and what software should I use? Thanks again!

When you boot the xbox up it should come up with a flash bios screen. Get the X2 5035 bios from xbins and flash your chip using HTTP (easiest way). _________________

Alright, i'm good. I got that sucker flashed. Now how do I setup my hard drive? I have a clean drive in there and I have the AID 4.4 DVD downloaded but I can't seem to boot to it. Help. THanks!

What BIOS did you end up using, if its the X3.3294 you can use the X3CL to prep the HDD and then FTP the AID disk to the HDD and launch it from the XX3CL disk explorer.
What bios did u use? On the x3 3294 u can setup ur hard drive quite easily from the disk tools menu then lock it with config magic.

Right I used the x3 3294. I setup the three partitions on the blank drive but there is no data on any of the partitions. How do I do the FTP with the AID disc from this? I've done it with UnleashX but not with jus tthis BIOS utility. Thanks. I need to set the hard drive up completely from scratch.

Alright I got the FTP thing working and can see the partitions. I can't see any files on my AID disk that I burned however. I don't know why that is and the contents of the rar files I downloaded doesn't really look like it has all that much in the form of data except for txt files. Don't know what to transfer over to the Xbox. Thanks.

If you burned the AID disc it should boot up when you put it into the drive. _________________

It doesn't. Burned it on a dvd, cdrw, cdr all at slow speeds. Doesn't boot it. You said I could transfer the files over from the AID disk but nothing shows up on the disk after I burn the ISO. Shows blank. Thanks.

I'll also add that the only way I can even get the dvd rom tray to open is to boot to initial flashing part and choose flash from dvd rom drive which opens the tray. Then I power down and boot up. Can't open dvd from drive with button anymore.

Next observation. When I FTP to the drive, I can't copy anything over, just says waiting for welcome message but it doesn't appear to be connected.
