Does the xbox have a mod chip in it? If it does it sounds like your D0 or your LPC ports aren't soldered down well.

Here is a guide to all of the flashing light errors and what they mean:
http://www.xbox-hq.com/html/xbox-tutorials-257.html

The problem you describe is probably the first one in the list, which is normally associated with a failed modchip install or bad connection. Are you sure the Xbox is stock?

In which case, if you have no chip installed and its doing that, you may have a hardware fault somewhere.

Have you checked the connections on the m'board, make sure they all look ok?

Hey guys,

I am having the same problem and from the looks of link provided by Cloud, it looks like I have a bad mobo install or bad chip.

Is there any chance of it being something else?

My xbox was working perfectly, until i disconnected it and took it to a friend's place to use. The xbox attempted to start 3 times and on the 3rd time it gave me the red-green blink light.

It is a possibility of a power source failure?

**UPDATE**

Just some more info that could help:
- Xecuter 3 chip
- Long press power starts with flubber animation, but then gives a 05 error code with slow red-green blink
- chip illumination blue lights shows
- chip green protected light shows
