what would be incredible useful to me and probably a lot of other people, is a usb interface app for the xbox, is there an app already out ? what i want to use it for is since ive put all my cds onto my box, and my cds into the attic (love the fact they cant get scratched) it makes it a real chore to have ta ftp them to my pc than onto my portable device, photo and video transfer would be useful to, i would be so happy if there sone ive missed cos ive looked around and cant see much, xbmc does have quite good connectivity, and i find it useful being able to usb my psp into it so i can transfer pictures nd stuff to my box, but i wanna be able to go both ways! thanks for reading this, ive helped my fair share of noobs, now i would like some help from more advanced people than me! thanks!
hi,
just an idea, why not install a xbox compatible linux distro of your choice, mount the partition your CD`s are on, then move them to your portable media device ? _________________

sounds like a good idea will give it a shot! i already have xdsl installed dont know if i will need drivers cos really its just for my psp! a while ago i was messing about with xdsl but couldnt find my music which was stored on my hard drive, how would i mount these or get them accesable? thanks
ok,
Imagine your CD`s are are on the xbox `F`partition, Here's how to mount F (hda55) to /mnt/F. The same can be applied to the other partitions
1: Open X Terminal.
2: Become root by typing in `su` ....... You will then need to enter the root password .
3: Make a directory for where you want to mount the Xbox partition using mkdir /mnt/F.
4: Type `mount -t fatx /dev/hda55 /mnt/F` to mount the F partition on /mnt/F.
The only problem is this isnt permanent, every time you reboot linux you`ll have to repeat this. There is a way to edit `fstab` so the partition is mounted every time, but, im sorry i dont know how. _________________
