but yeah i'm a complete newb when it comes to mods. i got my xbox banned because i forgot to turn off a switch when coming back from a lan party, but my situation is messed up because i didnt mod my box, a friend of a friend did it and i cant contact him.
so i came here making a new account hoping that someone can please break it down for me and explain it some more. i can get my friends xbox because he doesnt play on live, so im sure he wont mind if i take his eeprom file. i really dont know what to do at all, i'm guessing i need to connect my xboxes to my laptop, but what programs would i need? what cable (crossover?) ? and the only info i can really give right now is that my dashboard is avalaunch, and i was messing with it and i do have the configmagic app.
so basically, can some one tell me what to do in the above link, step by step (or something like it) such as connect this to that...select this or that...

Well you have to change the hdd and the eeprom to get back on xbox live because they record your hard drive serial number to.
