Ok I have a few DVDs that play the title menu/extras menus audio fine- but when I play the actual episodes the audio is all screwed up ( but the directors comentary will play fine if you select that ). Like I said this only happens on my Dukes of Hazzard discs and a few others all other movies and music cds play fine. Oh and these DVDs audio play fine on any other player. Other than this snafu I love the media center. Any ideas or suggestions would be appreciated

Crackling and popping and fading whhoo whooo like a helicopter - and if you crank the tv you can just barely here the audio track, but it sounds like it might be skipping and off sync (and by might be I mean its hard as hell to hear it over the "goofy" sounds). Um I hope my poor typing of "goofy" sounds helps . Oh and I found the instructions on XBMC but wanted to make sure what the version was I downloaded off the newest AID 3.10. Thanks for the help Blazer

What kind of audio connection are you using, and what setting do you have enabled in xbmc? If you have it set to outp 5.1 but only have the composite cables connected, it may cause this issue _________________

Just have stock video/rca outs from my xbox into my vcr and then vcr into tv. I have not changed any audio settings from the stock settings I got when I downloaded XBMC from the new AID disc.

Well I installed DVD2 as an application on XBMC and it plays the ones that have "goofy" audio issues fine. So it might not be the pertiest solution but it works LOL! So if any1 else has this issue you can try this as it worked for me

Back ups of my prized Dukes of Hazzard collection. (wanted the General Lee and AirWolf as a kid- well besides wanting to be a Decepticon surprised I didnt want to be a tripple changer- General Lee, AirWolf, & a big gun like Shockwave or Megatron) So what is a codec problem? Bad copy of XBMC or just a programing glitch in XBMC?
