hi i just found out htat you can run stepmania on the xbox but appreantally i need an xbe file to make it work? can anyone help me with this?

There is a Xbox homebrew game called StepmaniaX that is out on Xbox, which ofcourse contains the .xbe to run it.
I can't remember whether or not we have it here though...

correct, stepmaniaX is a port of the homebrew for pc, they are run the same files just Xport relased the xbe file. i didnt see it here or anywhere else, was just kinda hopeing some one had come across it

I just checked my archives and yes I do have it. I have StepmaniaX v5 and StepmaniaX v5.01 beta add-on.
I can upload them to the VIP Downloads section tonight...

It seems last week I was researching this very question. it is an ellusive subject. LOL. I ended up downloading the v12 from another website. It is recommended that you download a version for your computer and install all the songs, announcers and such on your PC. I used the 3.9 version, but 4.0 is out on the stepmanina website. Then you can take all those files and put them in the files with your stepmaniax and make them work. Basically you extract the stepmaninax archive and then replace the folders with the folders you have setup on your PC. I then copyed the folder to a dvd. I could not get it to run from the dvd itself, but when I copied the stepmaniax folder to the APPS folder on the XBOX it worked. It take a few minutes of loading depending on how many songs you have before the app starts. I don't have a step pad yet, but I have played it with the game pad. If you need some more help I will try and answer your questions.
