I recently installed Xenium Gold mod chips and 160Gb hard drives in two Xbox systems.
1st system is V1.6, 2nd is V1.0. I soldered the pin header
adapter in both systems. I also used pin 4 pin header mod for D0 wire.
I used Slayers Auto installer V 2.6.
V1.6 system is using Yoshihiro-m8-1.6B-Memory-Fixe-Beta4 bios.
V1.0 is using x2_4983.06_256k bios
Some games will no longer play in either system, either from hard drive
or from DVD drive. Other games work with no problems. The games will load,
up to the start menu, and then freeze when a button is pressed. Is there a fix for this?

you only need to delete the following folder
(and subsequently the files inside)
E:\CACHE
reboot the xbox and the folder will be re created, you should be good to go

if you want an easy way of clearing your X Y Z caches, just turn off your xbox LOL _________________

I've had the same problem with a machine once. It was a Xenium Ice mod with 200GB HD about a year ago. I am positive that I turned my machine off a few times as I was dealing with at least two or three troubleshooting sessions when time permitted.
I then used the X, Y, Z cache clearing option when a newer XOS came out and all worked fine after that.
Am wondering why shutting off did not work for me?? _________________ Xbox 1.4

its worth noting that its the cache files in E:|cache that become corrupted and need to be cleared. The clear cache option in Xenium OS 2.3.0 didnt actually work for most users, so its best to delete them manually
delete the folder
E:\CACHE
then reboot to the M$ dash and you should be golden

If you happen to be using unleashx, you can put this in your config.xml file to make clearing your cache really easy:
Code:
<List Text="Empty Cache" Sort="Off" Batch="True">

Are you sure you want to wipe all the cache files? The system will reboot after the cache is wiped.

Format X Drive

Format Y Drive

Format Z Drive

</List>
