well first of all yes the games have to be patched before they play on a modded xbox. their is also a diffrense between patching a game and making it xbox iso readable... its not same thing...
nero is good burner _________________ Xbox 360 Premium edition

with the second one, make sure you're typing in the verification code before you click on the download button.
As for continuing from there, point qwix to your xbox, then the folder that contains the game you want to copy. So let's say you've JUST ripped Tetris worlds disc (single game, not that damned xbox live double feature, that's just complicated), and it's on your F drive. You point qwix to:
F:\Games\TW
It would then find the default.xbe and verify that it is in fact a game. Tell qwix to begin, and seeing as how Tetris worlds is a very small game, it should only take you a few minutes to complete the iso (depending on your speed).
IF the .xbe DOES need to be patched, Qwix (and c-xbox tool) usually look for the needed flags automatically. So, most iso's that are made will contain two "default" files:
default.xbe
default_orig.bak
or something like that. Qwix is a smart prgram, it'll do all the muscle work for ya. When you're done, please consult this forum thread:
It's kind of out of date, but still very effective in telling you which kind of media you should and shouldn't use. So, for example, if you have a samsung drive (consult the picture) You can only use DVD-R's and any type of CD. +R's are NOT an option.
Now for a thompson, you cannot use any kind of CD media (+/-R(W)) but it will read most DVD-/+R's. So make sure (before you go to all the above trouble) that you're using the right media. If none of the above works; I'm almost garaunteeing you have an old Thompson drive, and it either needs to be tweaked (do so at your own risk) or it just needs to be repleaced (I reccomend this anyway... it's a thompson... o.O)
Hope that helps ya out, rumms. Oh, and welcome to the HQ. _________________ "That which does not kill you, only makes you stronger."
