I have a v1.6 with a duo x2 in it
do i have to flash a file into the xbox or not it has a cromwell screen on bank 1 and a blank screen no boot up on bank 0 . if i need to add files or flas or bois how do i do this. all these forums are so confussing is there a tutorial on this for this chip or a general one that makes sence to us dumb newbies?

You need to flash your modchip with a hacked bios..
More then likely it will be the EVOX M8 bios.
Get ahold of this bios and burn to a CDRW or DVD and pop in your xbox.. Turn on your mod and hopefully it will let you flash this new bios onto one of the banks.
just a tip.. Keep the cromwell as a spare and dont try to flash over the cromwell bios.. Select the other bank.
About EVOX M8:
be certain you know what xbox version you have so you can flash the correct EVOX M8 bios onto your modchip.. There are 2 versions..
1 x M8 bios is for xbox versions v1.0-v1.5 and the other M8 bios is for 1.6 xboxes only.
