I softmodded my xbox using splinter cell exploits. I did all the backing up and what not. Installed a Larger Hard drive. but when i goto play certain games I get the error 21 service screen. the game i tried was ncaa football 2005. also when i goto play NFS Underground 2 and i click load a game, it just freezes. i haven't updated my dash to 5960 yet but i want to know if that is why or is there something else that is causing this.

did you use sid 3 or sid 4? did you back up everything correctly? does your hdd work right?

i used the "usual places" to get the SID files i got the linux install file and the nstc file. yeah i backed it up just like it said. i backed MS stuff, i backed up the softmod, i installed evox first and backed up my eeprom. i didn't install the most recent 5960 dashboard. I can't access my MS Dashboard either. I am currently using unleashX. Please if anyone knows how to get these games to boot without error, just reply asap. only some games don't boot though, but alot of them do. so i have a feeling its because my dashboard is not updated. but i don't know how to update it so thats basically why im on here.

e21 is the m$ dash/dash not found/initalized
if u cant access ur m$ dash and ur all backed up
then just run dash install from aid 2.11 or 3
install the m$ dash, if it dont work dude ur no
worse off and all u do is restroe ur backup
also it a learning exp 4 u

I figured it out. All I had to do was delete the files in my CACHE folder. thanks for all your help. you guys have an awesome forums support group on here.
