Ok so Wah beat me here, here's my take anyway. (Wah great minds seem to use the same crappy table to mod on)
First off I like the look of the chip. It definitely gives a nice look as opposed to the standard PCB look, particulary since my test box is permanently on the table in pieces. I may just wait to put it in my normal 1.6b.

I also like that the LED is a little closer to the edge. When I put it in my 1.6b the light out the side of the box is much brighter.

You can see the bulk of the size was removed from the right or N sideof the chip when it sits on the pinheader. The smoother edge is nice, nothing for the IDE cable in my 1.6b to snag on.

I tested FTP, SMB, Flashed several different bios, and the web server with no problems to report.

Overall I really like the new design and am glad to see a group putting something out a little different and new, when everybody else is saying the original Xbox is dead.

So far it appears the price will be about the same. I have only seen one site with pre-orders and they were charging the same.
