I have installed a spider chip in my 1.6 in an effort to fix my xbox. Originally I performed a soft mod and forgot to install a dash. I then screwed it up more not knowing what i was doing. I changed the password key on my harddrive using atawpd also its wiped clean. I have now installed a spider chip and flashed the bios with evox m8 plus vr.16 256k. I unlocked my harddrive on the pc using the password that i changed the harddrive key to. I put the harddrive back in my xbox. when i boot up i see the evox logo in the top left corner and eventually i get error 13. I tried putting in the aid 2.11 disk in and booting. It says aid 2.11 on the bottom of the xbox logo then it does nothing. Can someone suggest something please? Should I try to load a dash first? Should i use xboxhdm to fix it. i dont know what to do. Or what this means.

I don't know spiderchips well, does it come preloaded with a bios or must you put one in. If you did put one in, which did you choose? The bios is very important and loading the wrong one can cause your situation. _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

I am almost certain i flashed the chip with the evox m8 plus vr.16 137 256k. Is this a common problem with the wrong bios?

Im gonna say im 90% sure i loaded the right bios but if in the case I didnt. Is there anyway to fix it other than using a programmer?

If I am getting your bios choice right, the M8 16 is for 1.6 version machines only. Is that what you've got? I prefer my 4983 Bios because it cuts the flubber animation completely! Hehehehe!! _________________ http://twitter.com/HQ_Shark2th

yeah i have a 1.6. I dont think i installed the wrong bios cause i get the flubber animation and the evox logo. Im under the impression if you install the wrong bios you get nothing. Do you know if theres a way to tell? thanks by the way
