sorry if this is the wrong forum for this post,can anyone tell me if it is possible to replace the dvd rom with a different one ( from a broken xbox). The reason i ask is i have 2 boxes and one is giving me dirty disk errors the other has no hard drive but a good dvd rom,the problem is one drive is samsung the other is thompson,my xbox is softmodded not chipped..

If it was the hard drive then we'd have issues but honestly, you can swap out the dvd readers all you wish.
I'm sure it was an accident but I tossed the duplicate posting in the trashcan.
