Alright guys, after doing ALOT more research, I believe I've figured out where I need to go now that I properly have my X-Chip physically installed. Basically what I need to do is flash the x-chip with the EvOX X-Chip BIOS v1.1 and that will install the proper bios for loading the AutoInstaller V1.01, correct? AND, while in the EvOX X-Chip BIOS v.1.1 I can set the button to use to boot the original msbios so I can play on x-box live. Wow, I can't believe that I'm figuring this stuff out, I'm so glad that I become a member here! Let me know if I'm going in the right direction!
Another thing I wanted to note was I'm going to let some people know some useful information I found out while trying to install the X-Chip
1.) If you install the X-Chip, make sure that you properly install the X-Control software before doing ANYTHING! You can find the software from the easybuy2k site.
2.) Once you have that loaded you can then flash your bios with the latest EvOX X-Chip bios.
I accidently flashed the bios before I had x-control installed and was worried because the x-box wouldn't boot, it would just do the restart 3 times and sit and blink that I've been reading so much about. But after doing some more reading through this site and the horrible documentation provided with the x-chip, I found out that the x-control software has a backup version of their bios so you can reflash that back to it so you can get back to square one.
Then basically after that flash it with the latest EvOX bios and use the AWESOME autoinstaller and you're set. But like I said, let me know if that's what I need to do but from all of my reading, that seems to be pretty much it.
Also just wanted to say thanks to the guys that run this site. It's amazing. So much information and helpful people, it's definately work the 10 bucks for a VIP membership!

Thanks for your post, but I'm a dedicated softmoder but I'm sure someone will benifit from your findings. Also welcome abord and share the fun.

Before doing this mod chip install I had only done softmods as well, but looking at it from a capabilities standpiont, I want to be able to turn off the chip and play xbox live, with softmods, it's a little more complicated process to get back to the original bios.
But like I said in my post above, I believe I'm on the right track and I'd basically just like to get a thumbs up or down on where I'm standing now. Thanks guys, peace!

I guess that would be one way to go. The only thing is I'm really poor and can't afford to put a bigger harddrive into my xbox yet. I want to get a 200 gig one and plop that in there, but I'm worried about messing something up. I've read that it's fairly simple though so I'm sure I'll figure it out.
