Send help!
I'm brand new to the Xbox scene, I bought a super cheap 'operational' OG Xbox for cheap hoping for some easy game play. Out of the Xbox I was having the console booted, but my 1080i TV wasn't receiving a video signal from any of its component inputs. I cracked the boy open, as I've heard of the issue with the leaking clock capacitor, and sure enough the capacitor in question had burst and some of the acid had corroded many[/I] of the surrounding solder joints: repairs far beyond my ability.
So I went on eBay, bought a cheapish replacement motherboard, completely oblivious to the world of modding on these machines. The motherboard I've bought is a v1.4 with the XECUTER 2 BIOS (not entirely sure what this means) and according to the original listing "the header pin arrangement is configured for an Xecuter chip" and "a modchip is not required for this particular motherboard which has an upgraded Xecuter bios already". I dumbly assumed this would still make the motherboard plug-and-play-able but I have since swapped the boards and am facing the same and now new problems.
My TV's still giving me a blank screen, and I can hear over the speakers the Xbox boot noise, but now the light around the eject button is firstly blinking amber and green and then red and green after the boot sound is finished. I'm assuming it's something to do with the LPC header configuration. Anyone know what's my best course of action?
Thanks a ton in advance

I would say that your tv maybe does not support the resolution of the original Xbox along with it could possibly be the cord make sure its plugged in all the way and maybe try cleaning the pins on the cable with some rubbing alcohol and a q tip and as for the Xbox did the modded board you got to come with an HDD if not you will need to look for a cheap ide hard drive or SATA drive and get the adapter and 80 wire ide cable if you do need to setup a new HDD for this console you will need to burn yourself a copy of Hexen to setup the new HDD let us know if you have any more questions sounds like to me either a bad cable or your tv is not supporting that resolution. _________________ https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCPkPFFEMgoun_8mk_K0NNIA https://arcade1up-hq.com/ https://start-hq.com/

When the console boots, hold the Left Trigger + Right Trigger + pross down on the Left and Right thumbstick buttons all at the same time. Doing so should switch the Xbox's video output to 480p instead of the normal 480i resolution.
That is as long as the installed stock dashboard is version 5960. I'm not sure this will work since the console is booting a modified Xbox BIOS - XECUTER2. The modified BIOS will start a replacement dashboard, not the stock dashboard, from the hard drive if one is installed.

#1. You should first try a set of normal composite cables. Sometimes flat screen with high resolutions will have a weird issue with component cables until you are able to switch the Xbox to output in 720p.
#2. With a chipped/tsop board you are able to plug and play to a certain extent. This all depends on if you’ve backed up your eeprom to your PC and if your old HDD is locked or not.
#3. Does the Xbox power itself on when you plug in the power cable? _________________

Lower resolution TV probably solved that issue. _________________
