This is just a quick thread to see if anyone has noticed if the speed on xbox-hq has improved today? I have just updated a few of my older scripts and added some more caching stuff, and it's alot faster for me now, especially lagging from Australia. haha Hopefully the forums and homepage will load alot fast now.
Anyway, leave a reply, is it slower, faster, or about the same.

well all i did really to speed things up was set a longer time for images to sit in cache.. Since the skin is really old, and image based, i thought this would be a good option till i upgrade.. Im dying to get 360-hq upgrades done, but lately i can never get the time between all the admin stuff and news, and stuff on 360-hq etc. crazy life i live.. then i go and play xbox too, but i have been taking a break from that. _________________ HQ Network:

yep, it seems to load fast but them again, can't say i've noticed any slowdown on the pages loading up! i'm using a real POS hpdc 5800 microtower, 3x 1g ddr ram, 2x 2ghz intel cores, nvidia gfx card 512m!
^^ probably would explain why i can't tell the difference between fast running water and a slow moving viscose treacle!
anything to help us all here is epic!
watching for more improvements! _________________ to all my friends... farewell and all the best to future prosperity... and remember, be excellent to each other!

Hey hobbs, a quick note about the active topics page. I sent you a PM before saying how the site should use (on IE10) Compat View. Well, since a little while back, the active topics page is waiting about 13 seconds for some Facebook element and it freezes the whole tab. Switching to IE9 mode makes the page look better and not hang. _________________

That's why I'm here to debug it for you :)
I would blame the IE10 mode and it works fine in IE9 mode. They obviously changed something that screwed with it. _________________
