Yea, I know it's only a suggestion.
It's just frustrating. _________________ With knowledge, comes great power.

If you got the X-3 chip man I'd do it you got nothin to really worry about as long as you have all the stuff you wanna keep backed up onto your PC if its not all ready there, and a working copy of AID. As wes said though this is just a suggestion if you don't wanna try to reformat the HD don't, its all up to you. Good luck though man whatever you do. _________________

Look at it this way man you can waste a few more days trying to get it to work and you just might but you can spend half a day reinstalling it all and knowing it will work.
Your call.

Okay so my E drive only has my applications and NOT my games, videos and emulators.
I've formatted my E drive and reinstalled, Unleash as the dashboard, and for applications I installed XBMC, DVD2BOX, and DVD Region X.
XBMC still will not work. Would anyone have any theories? I am fresh out of ideas on what the problem is.
Thanks _________________ With knowledge, comes great power.

Have you tryed to move the XBMC folder to the F/apps folde, it should work from the E but its not so just scoot it over to the F drive apps folder and see if that helps.

I noticed that AID 4.10 was released and update 4.12 also. . . nice work DJB
I downloaded and ripped a new ISO and formatted & installed through the same process as I have described in the past. I also installed on the F: drive as you suggested WES. For some reason XBMC still will not work.
This thing has me really stumped. I am trying to put some reasoning into this but there is something I am missing and cannot explain.
I erased and reinstalled my apps and dashes on the E, I cannot think of any reason why specifically XBMC would not work.
wes & DJB any ideas?
I'll also see what I can get from the XBMC team. _________________ With knowledge, comes great power.

Sorry we cant seem to find the fix for this man but i can keep hitting you with ideas untill one takes.
Have you tryed this?
Resetting XBMC settings to default
To reset all XBMC settings that are accessible from XBMC's GUI (Graphical User Interface) to the default settings, (which can be useful if you changed something that messed up XBMC so that you cannot access the GUI to change the setting back), simply hold down both thumbsticks (clicked) when launching or booting XBMC. This will cause a screen to pop up asking you if you want to reset your settings (including the active skin) to the system defaults.
The only settings not reset by this method is the Master lock code, and the advanced settings only accessible via manual edit of XML-files, (such as AdvancedSettings.xml, Keymap.xml, LCD.xml, RssFeeds.xml and PartyMode.xml).

Can you tell me what files are located in your XBMC skins folder in . ...skins/Project Mayhem III/
The only (other than the folders) file there is 'skin.xml' _________________ With knowledge, comes great power.

Have you ever used the Slayer's CD ?
I am not very familiar with it and I am currently doing some research on it, but from what I see so far people say the difference between AID and Slayers is that AID is more so for softmods and Slayers is for hardmods . .
Do you have any info regarding slayers? _________________ With knowledge, comes great power.

Not true at all, aid is better then slayers in all ways, aid is for hardmod and sid is for softmod.
I used the slayers disc for a long time till i found out about the aid disc, As soon as i popped in the aid disc i chucked the slayers disc in the trash.
Truth is if slayers was better i wold tell guys it was, but you wont find one post from me telling anyone that thay need the slayers disc for anything.

Interesting.
Okay so here's the deal. I used Slayer 2.7 and was able to get XBMC working. Now I have about 4 different folders of XBMC including Slayers which worked.
I am going to delete every XBMC folder and try to install again with AID 4.10 (with 4.12 upgrade) on my E drive. If it works then I know Slayers CD did something that AID didn't. If it does not work, then I know Slayers CD did something AID didn't.
I heard from an admin on the xboxmediacenter.com site say it sounds as though my EEPROM is screwed up (not sure why or how). . . Regardless I am erased all XBMC and going to try anew.
Will post my results shortly _________________ With knowledge, comes great power.

ARGH!
No luck as usual.
Results as shown below:
I installed fresh from AID onto the E drive. It didn't work.
I installed from Slayer onto the E drive. For some reason there was no xbe file I could use to start XMBC.
I FTP'd T3CHs latest build into the XBMC folder (created using Slayer) and then tried to start. It didn't work.
I installed from AID into F drive. It didn't work
There still more options I can do like Install from Slayer into F drive . . . but im just gong to post _________________ With knowledge, comes great power.
