help
does anyone know where I can find a install guide for this chip for my xbox that is a 1.0 all I can find is install guides for 1.6 or for same company butt he chips are not the same they are white or blue. I got a pretty good idea on how to install and where the DO is but somethine seems funny, after inserting screw the wireless adapter (ice) kinda tilts and does not make full contact with all pins. I dont want to destroy any thing so please help. I bought it from Divino and had no guide online. Thanks Bill

proper pins pulled on the adapter ? What pins ? what I have now is, the black wireless piece(whith the DO wire is on the mother board with the do wire in the right place, opon some more research I have gathered I do not need the plastic guide plate nor do I need the little white adapter whit the 4 prongs, it is for the 1.6 install Right ? now if I am right now what ?chip goes on Black adaper that is attached to my mother board, Which way I cant seem to find any photos for the gold chip.

Ok, so you have the adapter on right im taking it?
The pins in the adapter is what im talking about, you know those pins that you put over all those little holes when you screwed it onto the mobo?
could you take a pic of what you have got?
You dont need that fancy white adapter thingy with the four prongs and you dont need the clear plastic peice.
Before i tell you how to put the chip on right, i need to make sure you put the wireless on right, if you dont take a pin out of it, and you put the chip on and stuff it could be very bad.

Hah, thats why your chip wont stay on right
you have to remove pin # 4
you can tell which one by doing this
look at the row where one pin is missing at the top, then count down 5 and remove that pin, in other words the pin, on the left, one up from the bottom, (the top is where the screw is)
im not sure if you need that other pin that you pulled?
but take out pin 4 and tell me if that helps

it came like that? interesting mine did not but what ever
you should unscrew it then just slowly pull it out with some needle nose pliers
just make sure you pull the right one

Wait, your thing is so much different than mine. I thought you had a chip that you had to solder. It looks more like that than a solderless. Dont pull that pin, dont pull any. you dont have to.
it should just screw on all right.
ILL tell you where to get the best guide you can get your hands on that deals specifically with xenium and all the guides include version 1
Just type in
The black art of xbox mods
into amazon
Buy that. I would pay $100 for it is so amazing. it will tell you everything you need to know.
it is fully fully worth the price. it will completely talk you through the proper installation.

You really should just be able to screw that on
then when you put the chip on, you put it so that the longer end is facing towards the outside of the box
so basically it hangs over the left side of the adapter

yeah, sorry i almost screwed you up.
i actually gave up after a month and paid somebody to install it for me...
it is all spare parts. i think that kinda stinks cause that fancy 4 pin adapter looks like half the price i paid for the chip..
but really, if you buy one more book in your lifetime, but the black art of xbox mods.
