It must be possible to copy an xbox game to a dvd+r, right?
I dont think I have a modchip in my xbox because it has never been opened, but my xbox will play burned dvd's. Please let me know if there is anything to copy games.

yup, listen to bud toker as he has been around here longer than I and i agree with him.
But ya the only way you can copy a game is if you rip it from your xbox via FTP/Network or install the xbox DVD drive power source into your PC.

Hope any info at this site helps you out in the long run!
lol i think i been on here longer then he or you but yeah hes right read read read and fully understand before you start modding your xbox and as long as you fellow the rule by the book you'll be fine theirs sid 4 sid4.5 those are the best that are noob proof theirs also modchips but softmods pretty much do it all on the casual stuff that modchip does all you need is a way to transfer the hacks (ar kit ) get 1 of the 3 games to make the backdoor and let sid 4 do the work
Got you both beat on time logged here. And XboxHQ4life, you have just a bit over a month of log time here. But we're not about who's been here longer. No, the xbox shouldn't be able to read burned media. Apparently XboxHQ4Life has never seen an un-modded box...
The 360 changed our functionality on burned media because they locked down the signatures on the game executables. What does that mean for "next-gen" gamers? That means they can play burned media, but can't play burned games. Yippie.
Most likely, biggums, your xbox has some kind of a softmod that uses a hacked MSDash if that's the dashboard you're still using. However, whoever did your softmod didn't do it properly. Either way, you will need to re-mod it in order to enable burned game functionality.
So what kind of mods can you do?
There's three major mods you can do to your Xbox:
1. The most common; a chip. You can find these in many different price flavors, but mostly; you get what you pay for. Pay 15 bucks, and you'll get a pretty garbage chip. Pay 70 bucks for the full on chip package and you get a quality mod.
2. TSOP. Found right after chips came out, this actually requires you to flash the on board chipset of the xbox. Is this a modchip? Sort of. But if you mess up the flash, you're SOL. Do not pass go, do not collect 200 dollars. you're screwed. If you want to go with this method, I suggest you do a LOT of reading. Where? Check out tutorial section. See? At the top in the menu bar? It says "Tutorials"? Click it.
3. Softmod. My personal favorite, but only because of the SID series which can be found at http://www.aideluxe.com along with tutorials and guides on how to use it. So use them.
We don't offer too much support on the Slayers discs, so if you use them, i'm sorry. We only support AID and SID. Why? They were made by our "second in command" and we fully trust them. The people that have had problems with these "products" didn't fully read the documentation that came with them, then proceed to say that our product is garbage and run to the xbox-scene and get laughed at when they ask how to mod. So please, read our tutorials, then ask questions based on well made research.
We try our best to help every member as they need it. But as this site continues grow, so does the wealth of knowledge that is contained within the forums. The search feature on this site is completely functional (unlike the Xbox-Scene's mind you) and works quite well. While it's not Google accurate, if you type in a general query of what you want to know; you will recieve an abundant amount of info.
This is by no means a way to n00b bash, or harp on "rookies". But we only volunteer to give our knowledge and help, and can only do so much. Hopefuly this post can help you in what you need to know, and I will add to it later as needed.
