'Bout Six months ago I traded my Camaro Z28 in on an SUV. I saw it drive by(passing me) on the freeway last night on my way home form work and I was totally depressed
I went from this:
To this:
Which is great for hauling around these:
But I have never owned a car that wasn't a convertible before. I miss the dog drool flying on the cars behind me!! _________________ 1.6b, Xenium !ce OS 2.3.0, External 160g WD, External 250g Seagate, Double blade UFO Fan over Jewel

Yea, that have that new body style coming out.
My mom's boyfriend is a Camarao freak, he traded a Z for a Blazer, the one with the ground effects and shit, a 2 door...wtf was that called. Anyways's you know what I am talking about,
get a new body style, he wants to trade the camaro he got from the trade in on the Blazer for a new one when they come out.
Sure its not the same, but its a camaro. Its all that matters. _________________ XBOX v1.6

Yeah but the new Camaro style is still just a concept car and may not even be released until 2009. If they leave it alone and don't turn it into another Girliestang it will be pretty cool.
Another of my favorite cars was the Fiat 2000 Spider. They made them from 79 to 82 I think. The myths about fiats being junkers really aren't true, the only problem really is the engines can only be rebuilt once without a total re-do of the block and cylinders. I was thinking of getting one as a project car but can't find any in the area. _________________ 1.6b, Xenium !ce OS 2.3.0, External 160g WD, External 250g Seagate, Double blade UFO Fan over Jewel

I can't imagine ever getting rid of my camaro, me and my dad built it piece by piece, he passed away in may '05, so I don't think I could take any reasonable amount of money for it.
1969 Camaro SS 350 car, it's a true SS. Most of it is traded parts, none of it's original. I need some recent pictures, the only ones I have online are here: http://titan.sonet.net/sjohn/camaro _________________

Yeah, if I remember correctly the HPIM photos are the most recent, and they are well over a year old now, going on 2 years old. Guess I'll dust her off sometime soon and give her a nice bath and take some good pictures. (It's winter, no heater = no driving, just monthly idles.) _________________

Sjohn,
Very nice, definitely keep it. Not to many people have Legacy cars anymore. I remember a few years ago at Hot August nights a dad and son had one pretty close to yours at the auction. It came up $500 short of their minimum bid, something like $32,000. They both were crying alittle afterwards because it took them 10 years to fully restore, and neither one knew the other didn't want to sell it because of the memories. And the dad was also crying becuuse he was pretty sure his wife would leave him if he didn't come home with the money!
kdx80boy,
Your Killing ME! that's awesome, until I got the Camaro and an 81 vette, all I drove was imports and motorcycles. MY last was an 81 Fiat 2000 5 speed. It was absolutely cherry and like an idiot I traded it for the Vette. Not that the Vette was a bad car, but the guy who got my fiat is a still driving it and my roomate blew up my Vette. I had an MGb, TR7, 69 Triumph Spitfire. I have always wanted to try an Alpha Romeo but my dream is a Datsun 1600 Fairlady. _________________ 1.6b, Xenium !ce OS 2.3.0, External 160g WD, External 250g Seagate, Double blade UFO Fan over Jewel

Yeah, there's no driving experience quite like a nice little british car. The Datsun is a cool car too, almost like a japanese british car.
If you miss your old camaro and your old mgb, you could always do a v8 conversion like many others and use a standard 350 engine. Then you can have the best of both worlds. _________________ XBOX- V1.0

actually somebody offered to do my fiat with a small block 350 on the cheap if I let him put his logo on the back panel. But it a already pulled 175 horse after I had the engine rebuilt and was scary fast. I never should have gotten rid of it. _________________ 1.6b, Xenium !ce OS 2.3.0, External 160g WD, External 250g Seagate, Double blade UFO Fan over Jewel
